2 months into my 4 month holiday after the end of the dreaded 2 years.

Life's been good, I wouldn't say completely smooth and brilliant since it wasn't, but it's been good so far. With each what I would call, "good" occurrence, something "bad" follows. As happy as I am to be lucky enough to make a trip (already in just 2 months) to Bangkok, Singapore, China, Sydney, Gold Coast and Brisbane, things just never went as smooth.

A day before my departure to Aussieland, I get slapped with a cold - sore throat, blocked nose, coughing my lungs out, things like that. And when that was all cleared up (well, most of it.), two massive ulcers appear in my mouth, one of the edge of my lips and one in the most perfect, convenient spot possible - right in the middle inside my bottom lip and of course they stayed there for quite awhile. Joy. And of course it goes without saying, it was such fun, eating during every meal.

Then once my ulcers clear up, no joke, the aussie weather sure helps. Or maybe it's just the cold freezing weather. Alright I am grateful that my monthly friend decided to arrive after my trip to Thredbo for some snowboarding (because having her during those 2 days would have made everything impossible) but, I must say, 5 days heavy on probably the most "important" days was just painful. How inconvenient - shopping, dinner with families/friends, 2 days in the gold coast running around in theme parks (in the rain?) and I have to speed off to the toilets every 30 minutes. Heck, even just the dinner which was a little over an hour an a half, I had made 4 visits to the toilet.

And things just don't seem to end there.

I wake up the morning after I have returned to Sydney from Thredbo with an insanely swollen thumb that flipping hurt. It stayed that way for the whole week (only getting much better these few days) and only days later when I was at Jess' in Brisbane did I realize that it might have been an infection. And with that little infection on my thumb was another weird, hard, red, lump bump on my left thigh. Imagine a red, swollen mosquito bite that's extremely hard, like something's trapped in it and that's pretty much what's on my thigh right now. It doesn't end with the graphic details because that bloody bump flipping hurts too. And unlike the finger, it spreads throughout my entire leg when I stand so that really, really, sucks. So probably in a couple of days I'd be headed to the doctor's. Let's just hope the doctor wouldn't have to slice that bump up while I silently scream in agony.

And today, or rather yesterday afternoon, the air conditioner in the living room and dining room chose a brilliant, brilliant time to break down. In summer when it's blazing hot outside and when I'd be spending a lot of time at home. So right now, even after a shower, I'm sticky, sweaty and gross. The only thing that I'm trying to keep clean right now is my hair cos god forbid I go into bed tonight with a sticky head. So that's just all the things that I'm dealing with right now along with my final stages of university application - accommodation (which I just got today), replying to emails and living with the endless harping from my rents on how I could have done better for my IB exams when, I believe, I have done better that my PG. Logic.

Speaking of which, I'm very happy with my results. PG 33, end result of a 34 although I must say, ToK and EE were pretty effed up on the marking part but hey, conditional offer requirements met. My job with IB and all this mumbo jumbo is done. The nagging and harping on is getting painful (an understatement) but I'll live.
